My Teaching Philosophy

The main components of my teaching philosophy:

  • I believe the the role of the educator at the beginning of a program should be hands-on and the curriculum should be slanted to be more teacher-centric.

  • Educators should structure their program to begin with providing background and contextual knowledge to lay the foundational groundwork for the learner.

  • As the program progresses, the curriculum should shift from closely controlled to become more exploratory for the learner. In conjunction with this shift, the educator’s role evolves from manager to guide.
